The problem

A learning-based network security system needs more than a detection model. Collection, analysis, security decisions, training, deployment and monitoring have to work as one lifecycle.

What was built

SecureOps implements a packet detection pipeline and reinforcement-learning firewall logic around Azure ML, with a threshold-based retraining and redeployment cycle.

From network traffic to the next model update

  1. Network packets

Traffic supplies the packets that enter the system.

  2. Collection

Packet collection provides the input for analysis.

  3. Detection

Packet analysis feeds the detection pipeline.

  4. RL firewall decision

Reinforcement-learning logic informs the firewall decision.

  5. Training

The learning cycle develops the model around Azure ML.

  6. Threshold

A configured threshold decides when to retrain and redeploy.

  7. Model update

The lifecycle carries the updated model toward deployment.

  8. Redeployment

The DevSecOps pipeline ships the model update.

  9. Monitoring

Monitoring closes the loop and feeds the next cycle.

What it is made of

Traffic and detection

  • Packet collection
  • Packet analysis
  • Detection pipeline

Security logic

  • Reinforcement learning
  • Firewall decisions

Model delivery

  • Azure ML
  • Training cycle
  • Threshold-based updates
  • Redeployment

Operations

  • Monitoring

The traffic path keeps security decisions understandable, and the learning path shows exactly when and how the model changes.
